Responsibilities

  • collaborate to elicit requirements, document designs, and implement infrastructure for production cloud environments

  • automate architecture for complex production and analytics workflows including networking and auth setups

  • estimate work, prioritize tasks, track dependencies, report progress, highlight blockers

  • deploy and manage infrastructure leveraging cloud technologies in an AWS environment

  • coordinate with data engineers and architects to support management of systems with complex ETL pipelines

  • address system availability, security, compliance, and performance

  • collaborate to establish security configurations across cloud infrastructure and support testing for compliance

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or similar

  • 5+ years experience with a focus on cloud architecture and administration and related development operations

  • experience using multiple cloud services with a focus on AWS offerings such as api gateway, elastic load balancing, cognito, cloud watch, cloud formation, aws config, aws service catalog, lambda, fargate, etc.

  • deep understanding of networking infrastructure in AWS including familiarity with AWS tools like API Gateway, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, Transit Gateway, and PrivateLink

  • familiarity with security considerations and configurations for production apps including isolating and securing environments using network configurations, IAM roles, security groups, bastion hosts or amazon workspaces, firewall setups, etc.

  • experience with infrastructure as code and automation best practices including use of tools such as terraform, ansible, kubernetes and syntax such as yaml

  • general knowledge of databases (e.g. relational, document, key/value), data lake concepts, and ETL workflows using AWS services such as data pipelines, glue, s3, and airflow

  • working knowledge of both serverless and container technologies in an AWS context such as EKS, Fargate, Lambda

  • familiarity with security related to AWS including experience with tools such as Resource Access Manager, Organizations, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config, CloudTrail, Network Firewall, Shield, Web Application Firewall, Audit Manager

  • experience working in a regulated industry and addressing compliance in infrastructure configuration (e.g. SOC2, HIPAA)

Preferred Skills

  • experience in healthcare domain

  • familiarity with node.js
